Episode 35—The Importance of Affinity
About the show
When I think back on what has made my activism over the years effective, sustainable, and inspiring, the answer is simple: the people with whom I share my social justice praxis. And when I think about one of the biggest barriers some people face to participating in activism, the answer is the same: people.
Many folks don’t have a community of activists around them already. This episode aims to change that. Learn what an affinity group is, how to create your own, and how to use the affinity group model to amplify your impact.
