Episode 22: Dissolve Overwhelm

About the show

Overwhelm used to be my default setting. I felt pulled in a million different directions, and always felt like I was drowning in commitments and things I “should” have been doing. When we’re in the throes of overwhelm, self-care usually doesn’t do us much good. A bubble bath isn’t going to fix your creeping dread. So what do we do instead? In this episode, I’ll show you how to dissolve overwhelm in the present moment so you can move forward right now.

Homework

Your homework today is to take a great big pause somewhere today. It doesn’t have to be a lot of time, but step away from whatever feels overwhelming and fill some space only with your breath and being. Allow yourself to simply be for a moment.

Notice that the world didn’t end just because you took a few deep breaths. As ever, if you want to share about your homework with me, you can do that over on Instagram.
